KEEP OTABS SEALED AND DRY.
When ready to use:
1. Warm the canister lid to loosen the seal.
2. Remove the lid with a bottle cap opener.
(Do not disturb the contents.)
3. Drop the open OTAB canister in the bait container, open side up.
In a few seconds thousands of oxygen bubbles will release from the OTAB continuing for approximately 4 to 6 hours*, slowing down during the latter part.
The OTAB does not dissolve or contaminate the water.
Small bubbles circulate about and oxygenate the water to keep your bait alive.
Three dozen medium size shrimp or bait fish require one OTAB about every 5 hours. More or larger bait require OTABS more frequently.
Add an OTAB when bait shows signs of distress or sooner.
*No exact rule is possible because of numerous factors.
Shrimp & Bait Fish require more oxygen in warmer water so OTABS are especially valuable in hot weather. If the water exceeds 75 degrees, the heat may kill the bait regardless of oxygen supply. If it is necessary to change the water to keep it cool, change should be made gradually.
If you are using a small container (e.g. a pint) it is best to let OTAB bubble a couple of minutes in the water before placing the bait into the container, as the initial cloud of bubbles may stick to their gills and they may not be able to free them swimming in a small place.
